STEP LADDER
To provide a step ladder on which an open stopper can be provided and which can easily change the standing condition into the closed condition, regardless of the size.SOLUTION: A step ladder 1 includes a pair of ladder bodies 2, 2 that have: two supporting pillars 3,3; multiple steps 4 that bridge between the supporting pillars 3,3; and a top board 5 that connects the ends of the supporting pillars 3,3. The ladder bodies are connected to each other on each end thereof in a relatively rotatable manner and are deformable into the closed condition where the ladder bodies 2, 2 are close and the step ladder condition where the ladder bodies 2,2 are separated with a predetermined interval therebetween, and have an opening stopper mechanism 7 that controls the relative displacement of the ladder bodies 2, 2 in the step ladder condition. The opening stopper mechanism 7 has a control releasing member 82 that releases the control of the relative displacement on the ladder bodies 2, 2 in the step ladder condition. The control releasing member 82 is attached to the ladder body 2 through a pair of brackets 81, 81 each provided on both ends of the ladder 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
