WATER SUPPLY PIPE JOINT WITH SAFELY SEPARABLE TYPE AUTOMATIC WATER CUTOFF FUNCTION
To provide a pipe joint for water supply pipes with a safely separable type automatic water cutoff function improved in emergency cutoff property with respect to any one of both pipes, in particular, in the case of emergency disaster, etc., the pipe joint being used for connecting the pipes with each other.SOLUTION: A pipe joint comprises a socket and a plug which are fitted to each other. The socket includes a first valve seat including a first opening, and a first cutoff valve which can be energized to the first valve seat so as to close the first opening. The plug body includes a second valve seat including a second opening, and a second cutoff valve which can be energized to the second valve seat so as to close the second opening. In a state where the socket and the plug are fitted and connected, the first cutoff valve and the second cutoff valve are moved back in mutually reverse directions, such that water can be passed. When an external force as strong as or stronger than a predetermined level is applied to the fitted and connected parts, the fitted and connected parts are separated, and both the socket and the plug are brought into a water cutoff state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】配管同士の接続に用いる管継手であって、特に緊急災害時等に両配管のいずれに対しても緊急遮断性に優れた安全離脱式自動止水機能付きの給水管用管継手の提供を目的とする。【解決手段】互いに嵌合するソケットとプラグとを有し、前記ソケットは第1開口部を有する第1弁座と、前記第1開口部を閉塞するように前記第1弁座に付勢可能な第1遮断弁とを有し、前記プラグ本体は第2開口部を有する第2弁座と、前記第2開口部を閉塞するように前記第2弁座に付勢可能な第2遮断弁とを有し、前記ソケットとプラグが嵌合接続状態では、前記第1遮断弁と第2遮断弁とが互いに逆方向へ後退することで通水可能であり、嵌合接続部に所定以上の外力が加わると該嵌合接続部が離脱し、前記ソケットとプラグの両方が止水状態になることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図1
