To maintain the lock even when a lever is operated by excessive force.SOLUTION: A manual door release device 100 includes a door leaf 10 moved to open/close a doorway 105 of a railroad vehicle by driving force from a driving source, a lock mechanism 110 locking the door leaf when the door leaf is positioned at a fully-opened position, an operation part 120 which is manually operated, a power storage part 130 storing a predetermined amount of operation force generated through the manual operation, and an unlocking part 150 releasing the lock of the lock mechanism by transmitting the predetermined amount of force stored in the power storage part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
