To provide a manhole cover frame structure capable of securely preventing jounce and rotation of a manhole cover against a manhole frame in a simpler way.SOLUTION: A manhole frame covering structure 1 is provided with a manhole cover 2 an edge part of which projects downward from a circumference and a manhole frame 3 having a fitting groove 30 in which an edge part 20 of the manhole cover 2 is fitted. A prevention member A preventing the manhole cover 2 from moving laterally against the manhole frame 3 through crush and/or deformation when the manhole cover 2 is fitted in the manhole frame 3 is disposed on at least one of the edge part 20 of the manhole cover 2 and the fitting groove 30 of the manhole frame 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
