To provide a method for producing sulfur-containing compositions that can produce sulfur-containing compounds with reduced variations in quality at low production cost.SOLUTION: A method for producing a sulfur-containing composition includes: a gas generation step for heating resin-containing waste with a first heater to generate a decomposed gas; and a reaction step for causing a second heater to react the decomposed gas with gypsum-containing waste in a temperature range of 800-1100°C to give the sulfur-containing composition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
