To provide a ceramic composition excellent in performance of filling in a metal mold while improving the shape stability of a ceramic fired body at high temperatures, and to provide the ceramic fired body.SOLUTION: A ceramic composition in this invention includes an amorphous silica, cristobalite and binder. The binder comprises at least one of the organic and inorganic binders. All or at least a part of cristobalite is a spherical cristobalite, and the spherical cristobalite is included in the range of 0.1 to 35 mass% based on the whole silica component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】セラミック焼成体の高温での形状安定性を向上しつつ、金型への充填性に優れるセラミック組成物、およびセラミック焼成体を提供する。【解決手段】本発明のセラミック組成物は、非晶質シリカと、クリストバライトと、バインダとを含み、バインダは、有機バインダまたは無機バインダのうち少なくとも一方からなり、クリストバライトは、全てまたは少なくとも一部が球状クリストバライトであり、球状クリストバライトは、シリカ成分全体に対して０．１質量％～３５質量％含まれている。【選択図】図１
