To provide an earth retaining wall in which moment can be surely transmitted from auxiliary beams to soldier beams.SOLUTION: The earth retaining wall is provided, comprising: a plurality of soldier beams which are inserted at predetermined intervals into the earth retaining wall construction ground; and a plurality of auxiliary beams which are inserted into the backside ground from the side positions of soldier beams and are connected to the soldier beams via a connection member 5. The connection member 5 integrally comprises: a square pipe material 51 which has a square pipe shape, and can be inserted into a groove of the soldier beam and a groove of the auxiliary beam; a first end plate 52 which blocks the opening on one end side, of the square pipe material 51, and can be fastened to a web of the soldier beam via a plurality of first bolts; and a second end plate 53 which blocks the opening on the other side of the square pipe material 51, and can be fastened to a web of the auxiliary beam via a plurality of second bolts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
