TEMPORARY HANDRAIL AND METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME
To appropriately disperse the weight of handrail material itself and external loads acting on handrail bars to upper and lower horizontal support members of a temporary handrail bracket, and enlarge an allowed variable setting range of the overhang dimension of the temporary handrail bracket.SOLUTION: A temporary handrail bracket (1) comprises: a standard attachment unit (4) attached to a standard (P) of a temporary scaffold (S); a handrail receiving unit (2) to support or bear handrail bars (7, 8, 9); and horizontal support units (3) having a telescopic structure. The handrail receiving unit has a structure in which upper and lower supports (21) connected to the handrail bars are integrally connected by a vertical pipe (22). Each of the horizontal support units has a fixed pipe (31) fixed to the standard attachment unit, and an expansion rod (32) connected to a support of the handrail receiving unit. A handrail bar side end of the expansion rod is connected to the support in an intra-channel space (25) of the support having a channel section. Both ends (33, 34) of the fixed pipe are open to allow insertion of the expansion rod.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
