To provide a vibration reduction mechanism and a vibration reduction method capable of reducing vibrations generated in construction work without requiring a huge mechanism or a large cost.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a pile body 3 comprising an embedded portion 31 provided between a vibration generation location 2 and a vibration failure prevention location 11 on the propagation path of the vibration generated from the vibration generation location 2, and embedded up to the support ground 92 and reduces the peripheral frictional force of the peripheral surface portion, and a pile head 32 located on the ground surface, a pedestal 6 comprising first pedestal members 4, 4 formed of steel and arranged close to both sides of the pile body 3 in the front view on the ground surface, a second pedestal member 5 which is arranged above the first pedestal members 4, 4 and is formed of steel, and a rotational inertia mass damper 7 arranged between the pile body 3 and the second pedestal member 5 between the first pedestal members 4, 4, whose upper end is connected to the second pedestal member 5 and whose lower end is connected to the pile head 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
