ELECTRONIC HANDLE FOR VEHICLE DOOR
To provide an electronic handle for a vehicle door that is easily operated and is equipped with a mechanical backup in a case of battery exhaustion.SOLUTION: The electronic handle for a vehicle door comprises: a grip member that cooperates with an operation member (2) and operates a latch to release the vehicle door; electronic means for electronically operating the latch; and a holding member having a predetermined holding power. The grip member is configured so as to turn between a resting position and a mechanical operating position for cooperating with the operation member (2) to operate the latch when the electronic means is not operated. When the grip member is pulled from the resting position to the mechanical operating position, the operation member (2) is operated by a driving force, and a driving element (22) of the operation member (2) cooperates with a stop element so that the operation member (2) is held by the stop element of the holding member until the driving force exceeds the predetermined holding power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
