To provide a western-style toilet device and a toilet seat device capable of automatically detecting running out of detergent.SOLUTION: A western-style toilet device 1 includes: a bowl 44 for receiving excrement; a detergent tank 55a that contains detergent for supplying foam B to a reservoir water surface A in the bowl 44; optical sensors 21; and a detergent run-out determination unit 13 that determines run-out of detergent in the detergent tank 55a. An imaging range of the optical sensor 21 includes the reservoir water surface A in the bowl 44. The detergent run-out determination unit 13 detects an amount of foam on the reservoir water surface A based on an image of the reservoir water surface A captured by the optical sensors 21 in sealed water condition and determines as run-out of detergent when the detected amount of foam does not reach a reference amount and notifies the run-out of detergent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
