To provide an architectural component with a structure hard to propagate heat to the steel member capable of delaying the effects of fire from occurring, and a production method of the architectural component.SOLUTION: The architectural component includes: two timbers 20 each formed with a through hole 20h; a steel plate member 10 that is sandwiched by the two timbers 20; and joining means 30 that penetrates the timbers 20 and the steel member 10 and fixes the timbers 20 to the steel member 10.
