To improve snow thawing efficiency since an infrared heater radiates infrared rays toward a snow thawing area through multiple partition spaces and opening spaces defined by dividing the internal space into multiple sections, blowing of cold wind is suppressed, and decrease in surface temperature of the infrared heater of an infrared radiation unit is preventable.SOLUTION: A sign equipment snow thawing device comprises an infrared radiation unit U that can thaw snow by irradiating snow E on or near sign equipment W with infrared rays IF and a support member B for placing the infrared radiation unit outside a roadway area. The infrared radiation unit is provided with a case body K that extends in the longitudinal direction along the traveling direction of the roadway, and an infrared heater UI that can irradiate a snow thawing area UB with infrared rays. An opening space KE is formed on the case body through which infrared rays can pass, the internal space of the case body is divided into multiple partition spaces in the longitudinal direction, and there are multiple partition reflectors KH... that can reflect infrared rays toward the opening space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
