To provide a compaction machine capable of exerting a high compaction effect while maintaining stability and ease of handling.SOLUTION: The compaction machine includes: a pressuring unit 20 having a plate-like shape, which comes into contact with an object to be pressurized G; an engine 4 that is placed behind the pressuring unit 20; a vibration generation unit 5 that is vibrating and placed in front of the pressuring unit 20; and a transmission mechanism 6 that transmits the rotational force of the engine 4 to the vibration generation unit 5. The pressuring unit 20 includes: a first bottom part 20a that comes into contact with the object to be pressurized G, and a second bottom part 20b that is provided above the first bottom part 20a and does not come into contact with the object to be pressurized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
