To solve a problem that for producing a plate-like roofing material using a ceramic material such as tiles as a raw material and configured to be colored with glaze on a surface, it is necessary to apply glaze to a head surface in addition to a product upper surface, further it is not allowed to glaze on a product lower surface by a restriction for production, in the glazed ceramic roof material.SOLUTION: In a plate-like roofing material made of a ceramic material which is laid directly on a roof substrate of a roof of a building having a slope and is fixed to the roof substrate with fastening members, by providing the plate-like roofing material having a glaze on an upper surface and a head surface, provided with a head side external peripheral step surface located above a lower surface between the head surface and the lower surface, and not applying the glaze to the lower surface, the glaze applied to the head surface is prevented from reaching a product lower surface side during a glazing process or a baking process, and the glaze that reaches the product lower surface side is prevented from adhering to a sheath of a baking jig or a roller of a roller hearth kiln during the baking process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】板状屋根材の素材をタイルなどのセラミックス素材を用いて、かつ釉薬で表面を彩色した構成にて製品化をするには、製品上面以外にも頭見つけ面に釉薬を施す必要があり、さらに、釉薬を施すセラミックス屋根材においては、生産上の制約で製品下面には釉薬を施してはいけないという課題があった。【解決手段】勾配を有する建物の屋根の屋根下地に直接敷設し、緊結部材で前記屋根下地に固定するセラミックス素材の板状屋根材において、上面と頭見つけ面には釉薬を施し、前記頭見つけ面と下面との間に前記下面より上方に位置する頭側外周段差面を設け、前記下面には釉薬を施さないことを特徴とする板状屋根材を提供することで、施釉工程又は焼成工程において頭見つけ面に施す釉薬が製品下面側に回り込むのを防ぎ、製品下面側に回り込んだ釉薬が焼成工程の際に焼成治具のサヤやローラーハースキルンのローラーに付着することを防ぐ。【選択図】 図１
