To provide a method capable of calculating the content of silica in the ground with high accuracy, and a ground strength estimation method using the calculation method.SOLUTION: In a method for calculating the content of silica in the ground which contains alkaline-eluting aluminum, the silica is eluted from sample soil of the ground by adding an alkaline elute containing a predetermined amount of silica to the sample soil, so that the content of the silica is calculated from the amount of the elution. The content of the silica is calculated on the basis of the method and the strength of the ground is estimated on the basis of a value of the calculation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】地盤のシリカ含有量を高精度で算出することができる方法、及びこの算出方法を利用した地盤の強度推定方法とする。【解決手段】アルカリ溶出性アルミニウムを含む地盤中のシリカ含有量を算出する方法であり、地盤の試料土に所定量のシリカを含有するアルカリ溶出液を加えて試料土からシリカを溶出させ、この溶出量からシリカ含有量を算出する。また、この方法に基づいてシリカ含有量を算出し、この算出値に基づいて地盤の強度を推定する。【選択図】図１
