본 발명은 교량받침 및 그 설치방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 교량받침은 상부 구조물과 하부 구조물 사이에 설치되어 상부 하중을 하부 구조물에 전달하는 교량받침으로서, 상부 구조물의 저부에 고정 설치되며, 하부 구조물 방향으로 개방되는 개구를 구비하는 상부 베이스; 하부 구조물의 상부에 고정 설치되는 하부 베이스; 및 상부 베이스와 하부 베이스 사이에 위치되되, 개구에 삽입되며 측면에 V자 형상의 홈을 포함하는 완충부;를 포함하며, 완충부는 냉각 온도(T1) 이하에서 수축 상태로 상기 개구에 삽입된 후, 해빙 온도(T2) 이상에서 팽창되어 개구에 끼움 결합된다.
