According to the present invention, disclosed is a road sign apparatus including: a support bar; a display portion fixed by the support bar and displaying a character or graphic representing at least one of road information and traffic information; a lighting portion fixed by the support bar or the display portion and having one or more light emitting elements arranged therein; at least one measuring device installed on the road around the support bar and sensing pressure to generate electric energy; and a control portion receiving electric energy generated by the measuring devices through electric wires and controlling the light emitting devices arranged in the lighting portion based on the received electric energy.
