The present invention relates to a pillar surface protection method and a pillar assembly employing the same, which can prevent damage to the surface of a pillar immersed in water. According to the present invention, the pillar surface protection method comprises: a custom-manufacturing step of a form for pillar protection of custom-manufacturing a form for pillar protection matching the shape of a previously installed pillar, wherein an underground part is inserted to a prescribed depth, and a ground part has a length exposed to the outside in a prescribed height above a water surface; an installation step of a form for pillar protection installing a previously manufactured form for pillar protection on the outside of the pillar at low tide without water or while water is forcibly removed; an arranging step of a spacer for reinforcement of reinforcing the form for pillar protection, and arranging a plurality of spacers for reinforcement for maintaining a constant distance between the pillar and the form for pillar protection between the pillar and the form for pillar protection; and a surface protection material filling step of filling a surface protection material for protecting the surface of the pillar between the pillar and the form for pillar protection.
