Disclosed are a passivated Li_7La_3Zr_2O_12 (LLZO) particle, tape casting powder including the same, and a slip composition, a method for forming the particle, a method for casting a tape by using the particle, green tape including the particle, a casting LLZO film formed from the particle, and a lithium battery including the casting LLZO film. The passivated LLZO particle includes an LLZO core, wherein the LLZO is selectively doped by at least one element. The passivated LLZO particle also includes a shell containing H-LLZO, H_3O^+-LLZO, and/or Li_2CO_3.
