A gate trap is a structure equipped with a gate (sluice gate) that blocks bad odors and insects coming up from the drain. The basic trap structure allows water to accumulate inside, preventing odors and pests. However, due to various factors inside the pipe, water, which plays an important role in the trap, may be lost. In order to actively solve these problems, the gate trap of the present invention is designed to prevent water loss due to air pressure inside the pipe by installing a gate (sluice gate). Additionally, since there is a gate that blocks the trap from the outside even if there is no water inside, it effectively blocks bad odors coming from the drain. The gate is composed of a stainless steel pin hinge and opens and closes under water pressure. Because the stainless steel pin acts as a hinge, it opens from the inside to the outside even when using a small amount of water, and it also has a structure that does not open from the outside to the inside, preventing odors from entering the inside. The gate trap acts like a sluice gate on a dam, managing water and keeping it from escaping.
게이트 트랩은 배수구에서 올라오는 악취 및 벌레를 차단해주는 게이트(수문)가 설치된 구조체입니다. 기본 트랩 구조는 내부에 물을 고이게 하여 이 물이 악취 및 해충을 막는 구조를 띄게 되는데 하지만 배관 내부의 여러 요인에 인하여 트랩의 중요한 역할을 하는 물이 유실되는 경우가 생깁니다. 이런 문제점을 적극적으로 해결하고자 게이트 트랩은 게이트(수문)을 설치하여 배관 내부의 기압으로 인하여 물이 유실되는 경우를 막고자 고안하게 되었습니다. 또한 트랩 내부에 물이 없어도 외부와 차단해주는 게이트가 있기 때문에 배수구에서 올라오는 악취를 효율적으로 차단했습니다. 게이트는 스텐핀 힌지로 구성되어 물의 압력으로 열리고 닫히는 구조입니다. 스텐핀이 힌지 역할을 하기 때문에 적은 물사용에도 내부에서 외부로 열리고 또한 외부에서 안으로 열리지 않는 구조로 냄새가 내부로 들어오지 못하게 합니다. 게이트 트랩은 댐의 수문처럼 물을 관리하고 외부로 유실되지 않도록 보호해줍니다.
