MONITOR FOR UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE
A monitoring device module for a utility vault access cover is disclosed. The module comprises at least one environmental sensor for monitoring the environment in the utility vault, a communications module for transmitting data to a receiver, the communications module having a radio antenna, at least one inner container, and a housing for receiving the sensor, the communications module and the inner container. The or each inner container comprises a chamber for receiving a power source for the module, and at least part of a side wall of the or each inner container defines a space within the housing providing a low-attenuation pathway for the propagation of radio signals from the radio antenna, with the pathway extending from the radio antenna towards the top of the housing.
L'invention concerne un module de dispositif de surveillance pour un couvercle d'accès de coffre-fort utilitaire. Le module comprend au moins un capteur environnemental pour surveiller l'environnement dans le coffre-fort utilitaire, un module de communication pour transmettre des données à un récepteur, le module de communication ayant une antenne radio, au moins un contenant intérieur, et un logement pour recevoir le capteur, le module de communication et le contenant intérieur. Le ou chaque contenant intérieur comprend une chambre pour recevoir une source d'alimentation pour le module, et au moins une partie d'une paroi latérale du ou de chaque contenant intérieur définit un espace à l'intérieur du logement qui fournit un trajet à faible atténuation pour la propagation de signaux radio à partir de l'antenne radio, le trajet s'étendant depuis l'antenne radio jusqu'en haut du logement.
