A WEATHERING STABLE THERMOCHROMIC MEMBRANE
The invention is directed to a membrane (1) comprising a top waterproofing layer (2) and optionally a layer of fiber material (3), wherein the top waterproofing layer (2) comprises at least one thermoplastic polymer (P), at least one thermochromic pigment (TP) and at least one UV-light absorber (A). Such membranes are able to change their color as a response to a change in temperature, which enables controlling the amount of heat energy absorbed into the membrane and transmitted to a building structure. The invention is also directed to a method for producing a membrane and to a method for covering a substrate using the membranes of the present invention.
L'invention concerne une membrane (1) comprenant une couche d'imperméabilisation supérieure (2) et, en option, une couche de matériau fibreux (3), la couche d'imperméabilisation supérieure (2) comprenant au moins un polymère thermoplastique (P), au moins un pigment thermochromique (TP) et au moins un absorbeur de lumière UV (A). De telles membranes peuvent changer leur couleur en réponse à un changement de température, ce qui permet de réguler la quantité d'énergie thermique absorbée dans la membrane et transmise à une structure de construction. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour produire une membrane et un procédé pour recouvrir un substrat en utilisant les membranes de la présente invention.
