The present invention provides a zirconia sintered body that has high strength and is machinable. The present invention relates to a zirconia sintered body containing zirconia, a stabilizing agent capable of suppressing phase changes in the zirconia, a sintering aid, and a needle-shaped metal oxide. The sintering aid contains niobium pentoxide, and the content of the niobium pentoxide is preferably 5-15 parts by mass with respect to a total of 100 parts by mass of the zirconia and the stabilizing agent. The stabilizing agent contains yttria, and the content of yttria is preferably 2.5-10 mol% with respect to the total number of moles of zirconia and yttria.
