Le problème décrit par la présente invention est de fournir un matériau isolant pour un objet réfractaire, ledit matériau isolant augmentant la résistance structurelle pendant la construction et améliorant les propriétés d'isolation thermique. La solution selon l'invention porte sur un matériau isolant (1) pour un objet réfractaire qui recouvre la surface d'un objet réfractaire utilisé pour de la coulée, et contient des particules creuses (2) et un matériau calciné (3) pour assurer la résistance. Par conséquent, la résistance structurelle pendant la construction peut être augmentée et les propriétés d'isolation thermique peuvent être améliorées.
