The invention discloses a special thermal-insulation refractory material for microwave high temperature and an application of the special thermal-insulation refractory material. The thermal-insulation refractory material is prepared from 55%-80% by mass of high-purity aluminum and 20%-45% by mass of mullite fibers in a microwave industrial furnace, the raw materials are blended in certain proportion and are uniformly mixed, a certain quantity of a binder and a pore forming agent are added and uniformly stirred, a mixture is subjected to a series of technological processes including forming, drying, sintering, cutting and the like, and the special thermal-insulation refractory material for microwave high temperature is prepared. Main chemical components of the thermal-insulation refractory material comprise Al2O3 and SiO2. The special thermal-insulation refractory material for microwave high temperature is good in wave transmission property, energy-efficient and long in service life, and can provide energy-efficient guarantee for conventional microwave industrial furnace equipment; following related properties meet standards: the volume density is larger than or equal to 1.3 g/cm<3>, the ambient compressive strength is higher than or equal to 5.8 MPa, the heat conductivity coefficient is smaller than or equal to 0.6 w/n*k, the relative dielectric constant is smaller than or equal to 7, and the dielectric loss is smaller than or equal to 0.07.
