METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FILTER PLATES FOR WASTEWATER FILTER ASSEMBLIES
A method for manufacturing wastewater filtration plates uses a flowable composition including pre-ceramic raw material. The flowable composition is extruded to form a thin plate preform. Carbon-containing material is included in the flowable composition and/or added to the surface of the thin plate perform during or after extrusion thereof. The carbon- containing material is preformed carbon filaments or carbon-fiber precursor material. The thin plate preform is subjected to elevated temperatures to convert the pre-ceramic raw material into porous ceramic with carbon filaments embedded therein or disposed on the surface of the finished ceramic plate.
Un procédé de fabrication de plaques de filtration d'eaux usées fait appel à une composition fluide comprenant une matière première pré-céramique. La composition fluide est extrudée pour former une préforme de plaque mince. Un matériau contenant du carbone est inclus dans la composition fluide et/ou ajouté à la surface de la plaque mince pendant ou après l'extrusion de celle-ci. Le matériau contenant du carbone est des filaments de carbone préformés ou un matériau précurseur de fibres de carbone. La préforme de plaque mince est soumise à des températures élevées pour convertir la matière première pré-céramique en céramique poreuse avec des filaments de carbone incorporés dans celle-ci ou disposés sur la surface de la plaque céramique finie.
