A method, system, and furnace for cleaning slag produced by a steelmaking or oxidizing process. The method comprising, receiving into a slag cleaning furnace an input slag with a high FeO content and adding reductant to the slag cleaning furnace to produce molten iron and a cleaned slag with a lower FeO content compared to the input slag. The method may further comprise cooling and/or granulating the cleaned slag. The system comprising an input for receiving steelmaking slag from a steelmaking process, a reductant addition component, and optionally, a slag cooling or granulating component and, an off-gas output.
L'invention concerne un procédé, un système et un four de nettoyage d'un laitier produit par un procédé de fabrication d'acier ou d'oxydation. Le procédé consiste à recevoir, dans un four de nettoyage de laitier, un laitier d'entrée ayant une teneur élevée en FeO et à ajouter un réducteur dans le four de nettoyage de laitier pour produire du fer fondu et un laitier nettoyé ayant une teneur en FeO inférieure par comparaison avec le laitier d'entrée. Le procédé peut en outre comprendre le refroidissement et/ou la granulation du laitier nettoyé. Le système comprend une entrée pour recevoir un laitier d'aciérie provenant d'un procédé de fabrication d'acier, un composant d'addition de réducteur, et facultativement, un composant de refroidissement ou de granulation de laitier et, une sortie de gaz d'échappement.
