The 14 papers in this report deal with the following areas: design study of asphalt membrane-overlay for concrete runway pavement; concepts for developing an NDT-based design procedure for determining asphalt concrete overlay thickness; overlay design of flexible pavements: OAF program; analysis of stresses in unbonded concrete overlay; management system for pavement maintenance and rehabilitation based on analytic methods of pavement evaluation; use of spectral analysis of surface waves method for determination of moduli and thicknesses of pavement systems; use of the falling weight deflectometer to predict damage potential on Alaskan highways during spring thaw; determining composite modulus of subgrade reaction by use of the finite-element technique; temperature dependence of dynamic deflection measurements on asphalt pavements; design of slab thickness and joint spacing for jointed plain concrete pavement; improved rigid pavement joints; analytic approach to concrete pavement blowups; overlay thickness design using rolling wheel deflection ratio and CBR thickness formula; and possible effect of relative plastic behavior of pavement layers on pavement life.
