The land Use and Major Thoroughfares Plan for Laurens, South Carolina represents two parts of a continuing comprehensive planning program. The land use plan proposes land development goals and policies which will help promote the orderly development of desirable, convenient, and efficient environment for the city of Laurens Planning Area. Spatial patterns for future development are designed to illustrate the results of the goals if proposed policies are followed. The Major Thoroughfares Plan examines the major street system of the Planning Area and proposes a conceptual plan for improvements designed to accomodate anticipated future traffic movements and to relate to proposed land uses.
