Laurens County, Georgia
The project is located south of Dublin in Laurens County, Georgia along Georgia State Route 31 and U.S. 441 and 319. Construction will be accomplished by retaining and resurfacing the existing 24 foot pavement where possible and adding a parallel land of 24 foot wide high type pavement to provide a divided roadway. There are several small businesses and frame residences along the project which will have to be moved. In mobile home parks scattered along the project, the front lines of trailers will have to be moved. The largest adverse environmental effect in the acquisition of lands for roadway construction purposes is the trees and undergrowth adjacent to the proposed roadway must be cleared to meet safety requirements.
