Open Space Plan
The open space plan for the West Alabama Region includes all facilities and areas used to meet outdoor recreation, park, conservation, scenic, historic preservation and other open space objectives and needs of the people. The plan presents: standards and criteria for open space areas, an inventory of existing open spaces, projections of future needs, a long range (20 year) plan, a short range program for land acquisition and methods of implementing the proposals.
