Construction Reports. Housing Completions
The report, released jointly by the Bureau of the Census, U.S. Department of Commerce, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, provides information on the number of new privately owned and publicly owned housing units completed each month. For those privately owned, detail is shown by type of structure (structures with 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, or more housing units), by location inside and outside standard metropolitan statistical areas and by Census region. In addition, the report provides data on the number of housing units in private residential buildings started but still under construction. (Author)
