The project consists of the widening of Ninth Avenue from 17th Street, North to St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson County, Texas. A small tract of right of way will be needed from the St. Mary's Hospital property, but the hospital has no objections. All possible action has been taken to minimize the effect of this project on playgrounds, trees, parking areas and baseball fields. The project will not have any effect on pollution, aesthetics or ecological balance of land, wildlife, residences or public water. Approximately 0.5 acres of right of way is required of the total 18.1 acres in the park for highway improvement and is the only adverse environmental effect. (Author)
