Work Injuries and Work-Injury Rates in the Highway and Street Construction Industry, 1961
Presented are the results of a study of disabling work injuries which occurred in the highway and street construction industry during 1961. The study covered general contractors primarily engaged in the construction of roads and streets throughout the United States, except Alaska and Hawaii. The report included injury frequency and severity rates by size (number of employees) and geographic location of construction sites. Information regarding kind of construction and rates for selected occupations is also provided. The report also contains information about the number of injuries by nature of injury and part of body injured.
