The purpose of this paper is to summarize the implementation of the Admission Scheduling and Control System (ASCS) in Charles Hospital. This summary will show how the ASCS has been adapted to fit into a particular hospital situation. The problems encountered when implementing the ASCS at Charles Hospital will also be discussed with the anticipation that future implementations may avoid these problems.
