Study of Archeological, Architectural and Historic Resources within the Memphis Metropolitan Area; Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi, Nonconnah Creek Area
A reconnaissance level survey of archaeological, architectural, and historic resources was conducted. The study methods included a review of published literature, a review of county, state, and federal archival sources and field examination of selected sampling areas. A total of three sites were inventoried during the field survey. The addition of 102 previously recorded sites brings the total to 105. Ninety-five of these include prehistoric components. Two of the previously recorded sites and two of those inventoried are historic in nature. Five of the previously recorded sites and one located during the project are architectural in nature.
