The Spaulding Dam is a stone masonry gravity dam with earth embankment dikes. The dam is about 30 ft. high. The masonry spillway section is about 157 ft. long. The dam is assessed to be in fair condition. Concerns include low areas in the embankments which are susceptible to erosion and overtopping. The dam is small in size with a significant hazard potential. The owner should retain the services of a qualified engineer and implement the results of the hydrology of the watershed and hydraulics of the dam. Other remedial measures must also be implemented.
