Splitting Cracks Along the Main Reinforcement in Concrete Members
Results of a study of the fundamental concepts involved in the splitting along main reinforcement of concrete members are presented. The experimental parts of investigation included the following test series: concentric pullout tests; eccentric pullout tests; beam-end tests; and aggregate interlocking tests. The analytical investigation consisted of finite element analyses of axisymmetric dowels and beam-end segments. (BPR abstracts)
