NKK has developed a new pile foundation which is composed of a soil cement column constructed in the ground and a steel pipe with ribs on its surface. The advantages of the pile foundation are: (1)The construction is carried out with little noise and vibration. (2)The pile can be constructed with less soil removal. (3)The ribs effectively unify the soil cement and the steel pipe so that the pile has large bearing capacity.
