Housing Management: Admission and Continued Occupancy Criteria
The report is part of the Public Housing Management Improvement Program (PHMIP) which began in 1972. The PHMIP was aimed at developing, testing and evaluating housing management systems and approaches to improve the quality of life in public housing and to increase the efficiency and effectiveness with which public housing projects are managed. This part of the program revised the Admission and Continued Occupancy Policies. These policies were designed to incorporate requirements of HUD, to reflect ambient economic conditions, and to concomitantly effect a more equitable socioeconomic mixture of tenants in public housing projects.
