Widening and Reconstruction of the Existing 22 Foot Pavement to a 50 Foot Pavement, Ashland County, Ohio
Widening and reconstruction are proposed of the existing 22 foot pavement to a 50 foot pavement to relieve the traffic flow on U.S. 250 in Ashland County between U.S. 42 and I.R. 71. The total length of this improvement is 1.2 miles. A right of way width of approximately 230 feet and a new structure at Jamison Creek will be required. The proposed 50 foot pavement will provide for more efficient and safer travel by motor vehicle. The new facility will encourage economic development. Adverse effects could be the taking of approximately ten acres of farmland for highway purposes. Also lost will be approximately seven resident dwellings and three barns.
