The report is the result of a county and community planning program which is coordinated with a regional planning program. The fundamental problems examined are those of a central core area which was rurally oriented until the middle of the last decade and is now fast becoming the heart of an urban oriented community. The report analysis, in coordination with a county and community development plan, the various existing conditions effecting the central business district presents a redevelopment program for the central core area to provide better traffic circulation, parking, interconnection with the university, and redevelopment opportunities through an urban design plan.
