Proposed Harding Icefield, Kenai Fjords National Monument, Alaska
The project proposes that approximately 300,000 acres of lands and waters on the south coast of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska be established legislatively by Congress as the Harding Icefield-Kenai Fjords National Monument and, further, that legislative recognition be given an Area of Ecological Concern (AEC) of 460,000 acres associated with the proposed monument. Environmental impacts are discussed.
