SYSTEM DESIGN & TEST - Galileo Validation - The Navigation Message - The GIOVE-A satellite broadcast the first-ever Galileo signals on January 12, 2006. GIOVE-B is scheduled for launch by April 2008. The authors describe generation of the first Galileo navigation messages, operational and performance aspects, and signal improvements.
