The chapter presents the necessity of and reasoning behind large-scale fire tests. It describes in detail the construction of a model two-story wood-based building which was subjected to fire in such a test. The chapter contains basic technical documentation of the wooden building, partial photo documentation from the construction, and photos from the course of the fire. The temperature was graphically recorded in each location in the building and in individual elements of its construction.
