IPF 100B type mobile concrete pump with double articulated boom
IHI has developed an excellent new type of mobile concrete pump with double articulated boom, the IPF 100B (popular name is Superjumbo). The delivery capacity of this concrete pump is 100 m3/h, theoretical delivery pressure is 46.9 kgf/cm2 (the IPF 100BH's is 70 kgf/cm2, engine output is 260 PS/2600 rpm, mounted on an 8-ton truck chassis. This concrete pump has the biggest delivery capacity and the highest delivery pressure among concrete pumps ever manufactured in Japan. Through experimental tests in our factory and at an actual construction sites by one of our customers, we examined the performance characteristics, stress and vibration of the main components, temperature and heat balance, etc., and the result was as well as designed and expected. The cartridge slide valve of this concrete pump proved superexcellent in pumpability with low slump as well as high slump concrete. This article gives an outline of the structure, the functions and outstanding characteristics of the concrete pump and the results of tests at the factory and construction sites. (Wassmann)
