In recent years, it is estimated that the annual slag output is up to 15 - 20 million tons with 100 million tons annual steel production in China. So, the slag will occupy a large land and seriously pollute the environment if it is piled as solid waste. Research and application results for complex utilisation of converter slag at Shanghai No.1 Iron and Steel Ltd and Changxin Slag Company are presented. The research emphasised on analysing economic efficiency and technological feasibility of the slag utilisation method, which applied to reuse in sintering and manufacturing of deep mixed stake of enclosure foundation ditch and construction cement.
