The article presents a renovation project of a residential area: Mannheim, Germany. The plot size is 6.4 hectares. It includes Glückstein-park area adjacent to the historic buildings, as well as the south - eastern part of the quarter Glückstein. Territory selected for the design, located opposite the railway station. This area has the highest priority in the planning of the city, as it connects the neighborhood Lindenhof district and the city center. The project includes a number of design features that incorporate the social and economic aspects. The main expected result of the renovation is a well-designed a unique energy efficiency, functional and expressive architectural complex that serves a residential area. Architecture new objects fit into this area. Urban space located near the quarter was designed.
