Tunnelling works for the third section of the Semmering Base Tunnel have officially started. Thus the approx. 27 km long Semmering Base Tunnel is all under construction. In the about 7 km long section Tunnel Grautschenhof two 100 m deep shafts have already been sunk. From the shaft bottom, the two tunnels will now be conventionally excavated
Auch im dritten Abschnitt des Semmering‐Basistunnels haben die Vortriebsarbeiten offiziell begonnen. Damit ist der rund 27 km lange Semmering‐Basistunnel nun voll in Bau. In dem rund 7 km langen Abschnitt Tunnel Grautschenhof sind bereits zwei 100 m tiefe Schächte abgeteuft. Vom Schachtfuß aus werden nun die beiden Tunnelröhren im konventionellen Vortrieb aufgefahren
